Visit our website and we will direct you to a selection of cafes that are ready to prepare food in time for our delivery deadline. You look through their menus and choose whatever you want to order. Ring them up and make your order and make payment (usually through a credit or debit card).
Our delivery staff collect your food from the café and deliver it to your ward within the next hour.
You enjoy your delicious food, and (we hope) soon begin to feel better!
Unfortunately not. Our delivery staff do not carry change and are focussed on getting all our deliveries out as quickly as possible. All our cafes can take payment by credit or debit card over the phone.
Of course, but you will pay the delivery charge for each café you order from. Conversely, if 2 or 3 patients all order together from the same café you will only pay delivery once.
Yes. We will do our best to keep hot food hot, and cold food cold. However, while we can’t guarantee that hot food will arrive at its optimum temperature, many wards have access to a microwave allowing your food to be reheated.
There are several reasons which we believe make this a win:win for all of us.
Our cafes are really busy at lunchtime. They find it harder to prepare orders when they have customers waiting at our counter. But, targeting the time after the lunch rush, allows us to offer special deals to our hospital customers.
Our delivery staff are also busier over lunchtime. By 2pm they have the capacity to deliver our food across the hospital. This keeps delivery costs down.
We are not trying to replace hospital food. Our order deadline of 2pm means you will have the opportunity to see whether the food provided by the hospital met your expectations. If it did great! If by the time it arrived you didn’t fancy it then we offer an alternative. This means you don’t have to commit to spending your money until you know that your other options weren’t appealing.
